About
Welcome, this site is dedicated to the coordination and distribution of donated furniture, household and essential items collection in Calgary. Our collective efforts are focused on assisting with the need for furniture and essential items for those arriving in Calgary after fleeing the Ukraine invasion.
The efforts are volunteer driven by the Calgarians as well as by those that have recently arrived safely Calgary and wish to help the next families arriving with a smooth transition.
It started with a collection of donations in garages in March of 2022 and now, combined with the inventories of multiple other efforts is a large well-stocked storage space designed to supply arriving families.
Hours and Operations
Volunteers will be available to assist arrivals shop at the space between 10am to 4pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 11am to 18pm on Sunday. However, all donation deliveries and pick-ups are by appointment only. We strongly request that the requirement for appointments be honoured.
The ongoing efforts to gather and distribute furniture and essential items to assist those arriving in Calgary after fleeing Ukraine due the invasion is intended to assist as many families as possible establish their new lives in Calgary.
However, the priority for distribution of donated items is directed to single mothers, families, and the elderly. We endeavour to focus on those that are vulnerable or will otherwise find it difficult to start over in Calgary without assistance. Thank you for understanding.
Fundraising
Financial contributions are being coordinated through the Pinnacle 20/20 Foundation; donations can made through the following GoFundMe .
The Pinnacle 20/20 Foundation offers tax deductible receipts for all donations of $50 or more.
Financial contributions support the operations and logistics expenses for the coordination of furniture and essential item donations and are greatly appreciated.
By making use of our services provided through the Calgary Ukrainian Donation Warehouse, all participants, including those making donations, agree that they are making use of our Services at your own risk, and that any items are being provided to you on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
